Let’s go to Italy in the comfort of your kitchen. Caprese Salad if you haven’t notice features the colors of the Italian Flag: Green, White and red. In this occasion, I am taking advantage of some those gorgeous tomatoes I picked from a local farm and some basil trimmed right from my herbs garden.
What you will need…
Is there anything more easy to make than a caprese salad? What is very interesting about a caprese salad is the way you present it.
- 5 Tomatoes sliced.
- Fresh Mozzarella Sliced
- Fresh Basil Leaves
- 2 cups of Arugula (or your favorite greens)
- Olive oil and spices
- Sesame seeds (optional)
Get it going.
It can’t be any easier. Make a mix with Olive oil and your favorite spices. In a plate, put in line a tomato slice and then a mozzarella slice in sequence, then, add the olive oil and spices mixture evenly around the tomatoes and mozzarella. Lastly, lay some arugula on it and sesame seeds (optional). Enjoy it!
